When I first went into the classroom, I could see why these children had been labeled as ‘trouble-makers’ by their teachers. After I evaluated them using the Evaluation of Social Interaction (ESI), I instead began to see what I could do to help them. They needed to learn the rules — they needed to practice and learn to take turns and to learn how their behavior is getting in the way. These children get labeled at bad kids and trouble makers. After evaluating them, I see I can help them avoid that.
